Social Worker, San Francisco Public Defender’s Office Juvenile Unit

Michelle De Young is a social worker at the Public Defender’s Office Juvenile Unit in San Francisco, California. She previously worked at Kings County Public Defender’s Office in Seattle, Washington.

Prior to her work in Seattle, she was the Acting MARPs Manager for Population Services International, where she managed and developed peer education program for men who have sex with men and expanded product sales with female sex worker associations.

She holds a BA in psychology from Humboldt University and has done a graduate degree in social work at the University of Washington.
