Dr. Jiang Jihai is currently Director of the Juvenile Justice Guidance Office of the Supreme People’s Court of China. His responsibilities include the judicial protection and crime prevention of minors in Chinese courts, the comprehensive guidance of juvenile tribunals in lower courts, and drafting the judicial interpretations and guidance opinions of juvenile justice in the Supreme People’s Court. In 2011, Mr. Jiang Jihai presided over the research work named “Socialist Judicial System with Chinese Characteristics”, a major topic of the National Social Science Foundation. In 2012, he attended the drafting of Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on the Practical Implementation of the Judiciary for the People to Vigorously Strengthen the Fair Justice and Constantly Improve the Credibility of the Judiciary, and Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Strengthening the Trial of Minors in the New Era. He also attended in the revision of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Minors, and the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency. He published dozens of academic papers, and four books.
